Roman chamomile oil has a strong calming effect on children, especially when they are irritated and impatient or when they experience discomfort caused by teething or infantile colic. It is also used by women to relieve menstrual pail; abdominal and gall bladder pain, as well as throat infections. Roman chamomile oil is effective in relieving symptoms of allergic rash, hay fever and asthma. When applied on the skin, it relieves symptoms of common acne; eczema; itchy rash; surface wounds; dermatitis, as well as other skin conditions caused by allergic reactions. For small children and babies, it can only be used when well diluted!

Application in aromatherapy: – Roman chamomile oil vapours are used to alleviate symptoms of nervous tension; headache and migraine.

Application in carrier massage oils and bath water: – Added to massage oils of in bath water, Roman chamomile oil is used to relieve symptoms of allergies; anorexia; drug addiction; infantile colic; insomnia; back ache and muscle pain; arthritis and postpartum depression. It is also used to facilitate the treatment of asthma; measles; mumps and symptoms of menopause and rheumatism.

Application in cosmetics (creams and lotions): – When added to creams, Roman chamomile oil is beneficial for relieving skin rash and sunburn.

Application with mouthwash: Roman chamomile mouthwash is used for conditions like inflames gums, tooth abscess and tonsil infections.

Warning!  Not appropriate to be used for prolonged periods!
