Eucalyptus oil is most popular for its beneficial effects on the respiratory system, due to its ability to fight viral and bacterial infections, to unclog the nose, to clear the airways and stimulate blood circulation. It relieves cough; asthma; throat infections and sinusitis. It also had the potential to fight infection and alleviate symptoms of common cold and hay fever. Eucalyptus oil has a cooling effect on the body, which makes it useful for high fever; migraine and malaria fever. In skin care therapy it can be used for burns; lacerations, skin infections and insect bites.

Application in inhalers: In steam therapy eucalyptus oil is used to alleviate symptoms like frequent sneezing; hay fever; flu; respiratory problems and headache. It helps improve concentration and can be used as an insect repellent.

Application with carrier massage oils and bath water: – When added to massage oils or bath water, eucalyptus oil is used to relieve symptoms of arthritis; asthma; bronchitis; headache; rheumatism; sinusitis; runny nose; fatigue; muscle pain and ailments.

Application in cosmetics (creams and lotions): – Eucalyptus oil alleviates muscle convulsions and rheumatism; accelerates wound healing and relieves skin rash and rough skin.
